Understanding advanced tab-part 2 Dead note

 Dead note

A dead note is achieved by lightly placing your hand across the strings without actually pressing the strings against the fret. it produces a muted sound. it is represented by the symbol 'x'

  E---------------------------------------
  B----------------------------------------
  G----------------------------------------
  D----x-----------------------------------
  A----x-----------------------------------
  E----x-----------------------------------

Here dead note is played on the 6th,5th&4th string

  E---------------------------------------
  B---------------------------------------
  G---------------------------------------
  D---------------------------------------
  A--7-x-x-7-----------------------------
  E---------------------------------------

here you have to play seventh fret of 5th string (E note) as a normal note and then you have to play two dead note.

let try the song which i found on wikipedia
